Following a friend’s question and a list of tools/sites (for example cj and cb), I had a quick peek into affiliate marketing. It has become more common these days and I noticed recently a few news item about people who make a living/bought a house/work from the cafe/sell green tractors online.
I wonder if anybody has experience with affiliate marketing, in specific in Saas (software as a service) environments. How well does it work? What are the acceptable commissions? Any conversion rate data? Where to get started?
Getting ready to launch more beta sites, we had to find a solution to do some html tricks, mainly:
The search brought us to JQuery and I have to admit, at the risk of sounding not up to date, that it is cool and simple to learn and use. Further more, it has tons of cool plugins that take minutes to install, learn and use. So, if you haven’t given it a try yet, spend and hour or two, this is all it takes, the results are an eye candy.
Now it turns out there are quite a few of them, you can see an extensive chart in wikipedia, I specifically like the demo explorer of rialto. If you are curious about performance, here is a nice comparison.
Hello, my name is Dov Sharon, Founder and CEO of Contactmind. For years as an entrepreneur and manager of high tech businesses, I had troubles managing my business prospects, contacts and relationships. I was happy if I could keep relationship going. Microsoft Outlook was in the late 90s my sought-for solution to my pains. In practice, I could not get Outlook to be more than my Inbox. Combining my tasks, history, emails and notes had to wait.
To top it all, in recent years, I started using Plaxo and LinkedIn. I even added facebook earlier 2009 only to learn that I am doing ok in further my relationship – but lacking a daily-working tool to tie it all together. There had to be a new tool to nicely integrate between all these functions, build a data layer to nurture and maintain my relationship and update them with feeds from my social network.
On the other extreme, as a senior executive I was in no position to manage all my personal relationship and contacts inside the company CRM. It was too complicated to serve the purpose and besides – many of these contacts were the fruit of many years in the business. I had to have these in my own private platform.
In other words, I needed a valuable and trust-worthy companion to the complex world of business relationships.
This is how Contactmind was born. In early 2008 I started it. Charlie Hava and Meir Shahar my two Co-Founders helped me realize this product.
What we would like to ask you is to share with us your experience, pains, requests and current solutions you are using.
